Guest Speaker = Tony Hoffman

We have amazing news to share with you! We have partnered with PTSA to bring Tony Hoffman in as a virtual guest speaker on Wednesday, May 5th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon.

Tony Hoffman is a former pro BMX racer, was the 2016 Rio Olympic Games coach, and a person in long term recovery. He has spoken all over the United States to high school students about mental health issues and addiction. He is authentic and reaches students of all backgrounds. He does this with genuine kindness and compassion.

You will see below the topics that he has covered with other high school students.  I want you to know that your student may want to discuss these topics with you that day or evening.

Counselors and administrators will also be on hand to support students after the session.

He covers some of these topics listed below.

  • Mental health including depression, anxiety, suicide, and the importance of speaking up
  • Drugs and addiction education
  • Overcoming adversity
  • Importance of healthy life choices
  • Attitude
  • Goals

Please encourage your student to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Only those with HCPSS credentials will be able to see the presentation.

A big shout out to our wonderful PTSA for giving us this incredible opportunity to bring in a virtual guest speaker to support our students.
