Thursday, March 25, 2021: HCPSS was made aware that students and staff had difficulty accessing Canvas this morning due to a vendor outage. We have confirmed with the vendor that the outage lasted approximately 30 minutes and Canvas is now back up. In the future, should Canvas have another outage, students at home can use their teachers’ nickname codes, if known, to join their Google Meet sessions. If a student misses the majority of, or a whole synchronous session, please contact your child’s teacher to make them aware of the issue.
We know this may be stressful for students, families and staff, and ask for your patience as we work through these challenges. All teachers will be flexible if/when interruptions to technology services cause delays in assignment submissions and/or missed virtual instruction sessions.
