SPRING SPORTS TRYOUTS BEGIN TODAY, 3/1  Please contact individual coaches if you need specific information about tryouts.

 

Tennis Tryout Update from Coach Dingman 

Today, Friday 3/1 - We will meet inside in the commons area and run the 40-yard dash.  Girls will meet from 3-4, Boys will meet from 4-5. 

Saturday, 3/2 - Boys will meet at 11:30 to warm-up and tryouts will be from 12-1:30.  Girls will meet at 1:30 to warm-up and tryouts will be from 2-3:30. 

Please bring clothes for both inside and outside, your racket(s), and some water.

Educators Rising County Conference

From the MRHS Health Room

In April, we will be holding in-school immunization clinics for 11th and 12th graders, offering Tdap, Meningitis, MenB, and HPV vaccinations. These vaccines may be required or recommended for college entry or employment. The vaccines will be offered at no cost to you. There is no co-pay or deductible. However, we will bill your insurance company, if you have insurance.

If you would like your child to be vaccinated,

2019 AP Exams Registration Begins Monday, March 4.

ATTENTION SENIORS! A representative from Balfour will meet with seniors during break on Wednesday, March 6th to provide information on cap, gown and other graduation product ordering.  Students will receive a paper order form and catalog of products.  Balfour's representative will return on March 12th and13th to collect orders from students during all lunch shifts.  Orders can also be placed online at Balfour's MRHS site.

 

PROM 2019 will be held on Saturday, May 4 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront from 7-11 p.m.  Tickets are $85. Online ticket purchase opens March 11 through OSP.  Lunchtime purchase and pickup will be March 25-29.   Students who plan to bring a guest who does NOT attend MRHS must present a completed Prom Guest Request.  This form requires signatures and approval of the MRHS Administration, so plan ahead!

Leadership U Class of 2019

  • Guiding Good Choices Parenting Classes: Free for Parents of 9-14 Year Olds. HC DrugFree and the Howard County State's Attorney's Office will once again provide evidence-based classes for parents to gain skills and knowledge to reduce the risk that their children will use drugs. This 4-week series will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 in the Elkridge Library.   • Drive-thru EpiPen, Medication and More Collection: Howard County's next convenient drive-thru collection for over-the-counter and prescription medication and “sharps” (needles, syringes and EpiPens) will be held on Saturday, April 27 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Wilde Lake Village Center parking lot near the Swim Center and The UPS Store. HC DrugFree and the Howard County Police urge you to clean out your medicine cabinets.
