The ARL will also be hosting an Information Night on December 11th from 7-9 pm at the Applications & Research Lab (ARL) located at 10920 Route 108 Ellicott City, MD 21042. The PLTW Aerospace Engineering Academy has changed the program for next year. The program has changed from 10-12th enrollment to 11-12th enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. As a result, current 10th graders will be able to apply for junior and senior year program enrollment. As the program change was updated after the ARL Shadow Information was released current 9th graders are permitted to attend the November Shadow Day only.  For students who are not able to attend the November Shadow Days, the next and final ARL Shadow Days will take place in January 2019.

If you are interested in exploring any of the academies listed below please fill out the appropriate permission slip (available in Student Services) and return to Ms. Nelson in Student Services by November 12th.  Attending a Shadow Day can play an important role in a student’s decision making as they go through the scheduling process for next school year.

 

Below are the dates for the academy specific Shadow Days:

Tuesday Nov 27  / Afternoon (periods 5 and 6) – 10th graders only

Wednesday, Nov 28 / Morning (periods 1 and 2) - 10th graders only

Thursday, Nov 29 / Morning (periods 1 and 2) current 9th graders only

* This Shadow Day experiences ONLY are open to current 9th graders

** PLTW has been updated (11/12) to include 10th graders.  For the 2019-20 school year, enrollment will be for 11-12th grade enrollment.
