Up in Smoke - 7PM TONIGHT at Reservoir HS Parents make sure their children KNOW the dangers of smoking cigarettes, but what do parents and kids need to know about Juuling, vaping and other drugs that are easily accessible to Howard County students. Join Reservoir High School PTSA and HC DrugFree to learn more about these popular drugs and get your questions answered. 

 

College Admissions Panel Discussion March 26 @ 7PM / River Hill HS Hosted by the RHHS PTSA, this discussion will cover decision factors, sources and hints for preparing for the college admissions process.  Topics include:
  • New trends in the admissions process
  • The role of “demonstrated interest” by applicants (campus visits, interviews, etc.)
  • What the admissions officer looks for in essays/personal statements.
  • How applicants can best distinguish themselves.
  • JumpStart, AP classes and transferring from community college.
Panel participants include admissions representatives from Bucknell, Dickinson College, GWU, JMU, John Hopkins, and University of Maryland.   Senior Week Safety Night Hosted by HCDrugFree & MRHS PTSA April 1st, 7pm, Marriotts Ridge HS Auditorium Come hear from the Ocean City Police Department and find out ways to keep your child safe!   Screening of “Angst” and Discussion Around Anxiety in Youth Join the Horizon Foundation and HCPSS for FREE documentary screening and panel discussion around anxiety in youth.  “Angst” is a 55-minute film featuring candid interviews with children and young adults who struggle, or have struggled, with anxiety – including Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps.    Four screening dates and locations:  Register to Attend

  Senior Banners On Sale NOW! It's time to order a Senior Banner for your graduating MRHS student!  The banners will be hung at the school starting early May. The white vinyl banners are approximately 36" in length by 24" in height and contain navy and grey lettering. The cost is $35 per banner.  Order form and payment are due by April 5.    All profits will be donated to the PTSA.  Questions regarding the banners can be directed to Leigh McIntyre at leighmcintyre@verizon.net   Scholarships – SENIORS DON’T WAIT!   ************ AFTER PROM is still on the lookout for gift cards to be used for student prizes!  Please consider donating any unwanted or unused Gift Cards to the MRHS AfterProm!
