The Maryland State Department of Education selected Mount View Middle School as one of only six State Blue Ribbon award winners for 2019-20. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a state and national program that recognizes and honors schools that exhibit high performance and/or significant improvement in academic achievement as measured by Maryland assessments.
Mt. Hebron High School’s Project Lead the Way engineering academy was named as the high school program program of excellence and Glenelg High School’s Project Lead the Way teacher Raymond Gerstner as the high school teacher of excellence, both from the Technology & Engineering Educators Association of Maryland.
On January 16, Superintendent Michael J. Martirano will provide an overview of HCPSS progress and challenges and share his priorities. Sponsored by Bright Minds, the foundation supporting HCPSS students and schools. Registration is $30 and includes breakfast.
Dr. Martirano will present his FY 2021 Operating Budget Proposal during the January 9, 2021 Board of Education meeting.
