Principal’s Message
Updates and reminders from MRHS
We are amazed that it is already late September. It feels like time is flying by at warp speed. As we begin the first full five day school week, students and staff are settling into daily routines. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and getting to know your children both in the classroom and in their chosen extra-curricular activities.
A few reminders/conversations for you to engage in with your student(s).
- We want all our students to arrive safely to school, so please reinforce safe driving and good decision-making with your child. This is important to all of us and that includes driving to and from school, including the parking lots.
- We have addressed some issues with students who are not meeting the HCPSS dress code. On page 10 of your child’s agenda book, it references Policy 9210 in the Student/Parent handbook your child received the first week of school. We want the focus to stay on academics, not the exposed skin we have been seeing lately.
- Homecoming is quickly coming upon us, we are all excited about this wonderful time of year. With that being said, we ask that you talk with your student(s) about appropriate behaviors and decision-making before and after Homecoming. As we have shared with the students, all HCPSS policies are in effect at all school-related activities.
Thank you for sending us your best every day.
