Congratulations Mrs. Liz Crawford for being selected as the 2018 Senior Class Teacher of the Year Award.  Seniors and members of the MRHS SGA worked to surprise Mrs. Crawford with the award.  She was recognized at a luncheon on April 24 along with teachers from each HCPSS high school and Homewood.

Marriotts Ridge HS received second place in the 2018 Howard County Sportsmanship Cup for Interscholastic Athletics!  This is the only award recognized at the Board of Education.   Congratulations to AAM Chris Reagle for setting a positive tone for our school and community. Thank you to our students, coaches, staff, parents, and community members for upholding the standards of sportsmanship that we seek to instill through the Mustang athletic program.   First place went to Oakland Mills High School and Hammond High School received third place.

National Speech & Debate Association recognizes Mr. Monty Crawford, a former MRHS parent, for his exemplary volunteerism to promote speech and debate.  Mr. Crawford volunteered as coach for our Mustang Speech & Debate team for a number of years.  He also serves on the Chesapeake (MD) District Committee, which manages our local community of speech and debate activities.  Monty was elected by his peers in 2017 to serve a two-year term as a committee member.
