“Night Under the Stars” – 2018 AfterProm Event
All Juniors & Seniors are invited to come share a “Night Under the Stars” at our MRHS 2018 AfterProm event! You do not have to attend Prom to come to this AfterProm event. Your approved prom date/guest is also able to attend AfterProm with you. Don’t miss out on the great food, exciting prize tables and awesome activities including Family Feud game show, Carnival games, Karaoke, Hippo Chow Down, Criss-Cross Collision Course, Giant Jenga & Connect 4, Photo Booth, Minute to Win It, Glow In the Dark Room and much much more!
MRHS AfterProm Ticket Sales Tickets for AfterProm, as well as one way bus transportation from B&O RR Museum to Glenwood Community Center, will go on sale Monday, April 30th through Friday, May 4th during all lunch shifts. Look for our ticket sale table in the Commons! After Prom tickets are $10 each. You must have a completed and signed waiver (form also found on MRHS PTSA website) for all attendees, including prom guests, in order to purchase tickets. The one way bus tickets are $10 per rider. After Prom Parent Volunteers Needed We are in need of parent volunteers to help make our 2018 “Night Under the Stars” AfterProm Party as successful as possible. We have a fun night lined up with lots of food, games & activities but need your support to pull it all off! AfterProm party is from 11:30 p.m. on May 12th to 3:30 a.m. on May 13th at Glenwood Community Center in Cooksville. High school seniors and their families are invited to HC DrugFree’s Staying Safe in Ocean City program. Ocean City Police and Beach Patrol will provide safety tips for in the water, on the beach, drugs/alcohol, crossing the busy highway and more. Click for more information.
The Howard County Police Department will be hosting a free, one week overnight Youth Police Academy, July 16-21 at the Public Safety Training Center. It is for students between the ages of 15-18 years old who are interested in a law enforcement career. The Youth Police Academy replicates the actual Howard County Police Academy. This experience is designed to help students explore career and leadership opportunities, life skills, and character education. Students will participate in role playing, practical exercises and physical training.
