Holiday Jazz Cabaret The Annual Holiday Jazz Cabaret will be held Tuesday, December 19th at 7pm. It’s a wonderful evening where friends and family gather and listen to holiday music performed by our very on MRHS Jazz Band, with performances by the Women’s Choir, the Madrigals and several amazing soloists. Beverages, appetizers and desserts are including with admission. Tickets are $10 and sold at the door. To make this evening of holiday jazz a success, we are looking for volunteers and donations. It appears that some MRHS families did not receive their blue envelopes in the mail. If that is the case, please send your mailing address to Theresa Yodzis attbone119@comcast.net . ALSO, if you have friends, neighbors, or relatives that live locally who would like to participate in our Restaurant Raffle, Theresa will be happy to send them a blue envelope! QuHacks Hackathon held this Saturday, 12/9 If you’re interested in computer science, come to the second annual QuHacks Hackathon! High school students from across Maryland will gain programming experience and learn more about computer science through workshops and by coding a project throughout the day. No prior experience is necessary! The Hackathon includes presentations by guest speakers and workshops to give you a crash course in a variety of areas, such as: Java, Web development, and Android app development. Students may work in groups of up to 2 members. Breakfast and lunch will be provided! The Hackathon will be held at the Commons at UMBC, from 9:30AM-6:30PM. HC DrugFree: TAC (Teen Advisory Council) will meet Monday, December 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Barn (Teen Center) in the Oakland Mills Village Center. TAC is open to all Howard County high school students and community service hours are available. Free pizza.
