RE: 2018 Maryland General Assembly Student Page Program

The Marriotts Ridge Social Studies Department will nominate one senior to be eligible for participation in the 2018 Maryland Student Page Program.  Applicants must:

  • be graduating seniors.
  • have signed parental/guardian permission.
  • be enthusiastic about government, politics, law, or community service and show a demonstrated interest in state government.
  • be mature and able to engage with fellow pages and authority figures.

In addition to the above criteria, applicants must write a one page essay that demonstrates why they would be the best representative of Marriotts Ridge High School and Howard County as a Maryland Page.

Completed applications are due to Mr. Malt in room 200 by 2:15 on Monday, October 9, 2017.

The Social Studies Faculty of MRHS will review the applications and select one student to move forward. This student will then need to interview with the HCPSS Social Studies Curricular Office. Only six students from all Howard County schools will be chosen.
