Homecoming 2024

Homecoming Tickets on Sale Through 9/24

  • Tickets are $20 and will be sold ONLINE ONLY through OSP . 
  • Tickets are not transferable and not refundable.
  • Only MRHS students can purchase dance tickets. Purchases made by students at other schools will not be honored.
  • Online sales end Tuesday, 9/24!
  • Guests who are not students at MRHS must complete a guest form.
  • Completed guest forms are due at the ticket tables by fourth period on Tuesday, 9/24. Outside guest purchases without a completed form by the deadline will be automatically refunded.
  • The dance will include a DJ in the gym, corn hole, Jenga, a photo booth in the Commons and other activities being developed by the Class of 2027!
  • All HCPSS policies apply at the dance.

Club Announcement Requests

Student club leaders can request weekly school wide announcements in the Student Community. Please read the process carefully to ensure your announcement is posted.

  • Announcements are automated to send at midnight on Monday mornings.
  • An email with the announcement, in copy and paste format, is due to Mrs. Rashid at lrashid@hcpss.org by 2;30 PM on Fridays or the last day of the school week.
  • Students must copy their staff advisor on the announcement request email. Requests without a staff advisor copied will not be posted.

 

National Math Honor Society

The MRHS National Math Honor Society is excited to announce that the applications for the 2024-2025 school year have now been opened! NMHS is an organization that focuses on sharing and growing knowledge in mathematics and devotion to community service. Applications will be due on 10/11/24 and more details can be found on the form linked below.

SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS ON OCTOBER 1 & 2 at 3:00-3:30 on stage. 
Do you want to be a part of the spring musical, "Something Rotten"?  We are seeking a cast of 70+ students to perform in this upbeat comedy musical. If you love to sing, dance, act, and want to make new friends, come give it a try!

 

South Asian Club
South Asian Club will be having our first club meeting Tuesday, September 24 at 2:45 in room 320.  We will be discussing our huge November event, Desi Night - a night to remember with food, a Photo Booth, performances and a Desi DJ!  We are working on this event with 5 other HCPSS high schools so you do NOT want to miss it!  All are welcome at our first meeting, we hope to see you on the 24th!

Browse, try on, and take home formal clothing for proms, and job interviews.

All teens are welcome to explore self expression and take home gender affirming clothing for free!

 

Safe Space During Flex Time

Are you looking to meet all kinds of people in a safe space with zero judgment and 100% acceptance? If so, please drop by Mrs. Roussillon’s room (inside the Media Center) to grab a pass for Wednesday Flex Time. Come and enjoy a chill space with flexible/comfortable seating- no agenda other than to just be yourself! Hope to see you there.

 

Young Authors' Contest

The Howard County Literacy Association invites students in grades 9-12 to submit their original poems and/or short stories to the annual writing contest called The Young Authors' Contest. Please see the attached Young Authors’ Contest Guidelines_HOWARD.pdf for information about the rules and guidelines. All entries must have a completed YAC Student Cover Sheet, 2024-25 HOWARD.docx as a PDF. Submissions may be emailed to Mrs. Roussillon by December 20, 2024. Contact Mrs. Roussillon with any questions. All Young Authors’ Contest information can be found on the HCLA website.
