Get Involved in Student Leadership and Service

Start the new year with a renewed focus on leadership and volunteering. All middle and high school students are invited to participate in the monthly meetings of the Howard County Association of Student Councils (HCASC).
Community Advisory Council Meeting

The agenda includes Starting School Later, presented by Colonel Brian Robertson, Chief of the Sleep Disorder Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. CAC meetings are open to the public.
BSAP Spring Saturday Math Academy Registration Opens
Saturday, January 11
Certified teachers offer instruction and enrichment in all levels of mathematics to a diverse student population through the academy, offered Saturdays, February 1–March 14. Online and walk-in registration will be available on registration day.

The State of the School System

Superintendent Michael J. Martirano will provide an overview of HCPSS progress and challenges and share his priorities. Sponsored by Bright Minds, the foundation supporting HCPSS students and schools. Registration is $30 and includes breakfast.

Innovative Pathways Evening School Spring Courses
Current high school students can register for spring Blended Courses until Friday, January 10, 2020. Blended courses are 12 weeks, from Tuesday, January 28 and ending Wednesday, April 22, with options in Lifetime Fitness, Health, Foundations of Technology and Exploring Computer Science Honors.
