Students will receive a survey from HCPSS in the email found in their MyAP account. Check to make sure the email address in the MyAP account is correct!
The survey will ask students to confirm the AP exam(s) they wish to take and their preferred exam date/format for the exam.
Currently, AP Coordinators do not have the capability to change the administration/exam date for AP exams. This will roll out by the end of March.
AP teachers have the HCPSS systemwide recommendations for exam date and format for each class and semester.
A full length digital exam to be taken at home is offered for most AP exams during the 2nd and 3rd administration windows.
Students are strongly encouraged to use the HCPSS-issued Chromebook for AP exams as the testing software will be automatically downloaded to the devices in April.
Students will be able to see practice questions once the software is installed.
During the exam, students will not be able to go back to previously answered exam questions nor move back and forth between unanswered questions.
The break time between exam sections is automatically loaded into the digital exam as are accommodations if applicable.
For math-based exams, students will use an equation editor for calculations. Students will be able to practice using this once the digital software is downloaded to their device.
Later in March, an AP digital testing overview video and slideshow will be available from the College Board. Links and more information will be provided in subsequent communications.
