Attention SENIORS & PARENTS . . .

GRADUATION ACTIVITIES SPEAKERS  Graduation activities speeches are due on or before February 10.  All senior students are welcome to submit a speech to the committee for consideration.  Details can be found by click here.  Inquiries can be directed to Mrs. Rashid via email or stop by the media center.

 

MRHS PTSA SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS  Are you aware that the MRHS PTSA offers scholarships to four (4) eligible seniors?  To be eligible, the senior student and at least one parent/guardian be paid members of MRHS PTSA by January 27, 2017.  Click here to join the PTSA now!  The PTSA Scholarship application is available on the PTSA website by clicking here.

 

MUSTANG BOOSTERS SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS   This Senior Scholarship is designed for a MRHS Booster club member who strives for excellence and has “Made a Difference at Marriotts Ridge”. Attention current Sophomore and Junior Students . . . 

STUDENT MEMBER OF THE HOWARD COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

It is now time to receive applications for the next Student Member of the BOE.  Any current sophomore or junior in Howard County may apply for this position. The student must be regularly enrolled in an HCPSS high school, academically eligible, and a junior or senior in the 2017-2018 school year. The student elected by the students in grades 6-11 will serve a one-year term on the HCPSS BOE, July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.  

      Applicants must submit an application, a resume, essay responses, a confirmation of academic eligibility signed by a guidance counselor, the Principal’s recognition that the student is running for this position, a statement of parent permission, and two letters of recommendation.  The complete application packet must be submitted to Ms. Cindy Drummond, HCASC Advisor, no later than4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

      A nominating panel will convene on February 15 to nominate two candidates. The selected candidates will then participate in the campaign process culminating with an April 26 election held in all HCPSS middle and high schools. Application packets are available in Student Services, the Front Office, and from Mrs. Adams, MRHS SGA Advisor, in room 212.

 

 

Mustang Boosters’ Annual Fundraiser

The MRHS Boosters Club will host the 12th Annual Mustang Madness Event onSaturday, March 11, 2017 at Players Bar and Grill.  Come join other parents for a night of fun and fundraising.  There will be dinner, music (featuring The Dixon Ulmer Band), raffles, prizes, and a silent auction.

$40 on January 23-25 -- Early Bird Special – THREE DAYS ONLY – click for online ordering

$50 from January 26 to March 9 at midnight (end of online purchase)

$60 at the door
