Listen and Learn Sessions
It’s hard to believe that it has been almost three years since we introduced our five-year strategic plan, Vision 2018: Fulfilling the Promise of Preparation. Since then, we have added many new initiatives, systems and programs to support and inspire our talented youth as they prepare for the future.
As we are halfway through the five years, we are reviewing Vision 2018 and stakeholder feedback is key. Over the next few weeks, we will hold Listen and Learn sessions for students, teachers, staff, leadership, parents and the public. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to be part of the strategic planning process for the school system. We want you to let us know what we are doing well and would like us to continue doing, and tell us some of the addition opportunities for us to consider focusing on.
We would like to invite all HCPSS staff to attend any of the following Listen and Learn sessions:
· Tuesday, April 5, 6:30-8 p.m., Marriotts Ridge High School
· Monday, April 11, 6:30-8 p.m., Oakland Mills High School
SENIOR BANNERS ON SALE NOW
It's that time of year to order a senior banner for your graduating MRHS student! The banners will be hung at the school starting in early May. The white vinyl banners are approximately 36" in length by 24” in height, and they contain navy and grey lettering.
The cost is $30. Orders are due by April 8th, 2016.

Banner pick up will be after the farewell assembly. Any banners not picked up will be included with the student's senior packet.
All profits will be donated to the PTSA. Questions regarding the banners can be directed to Leigh McIntyre, email@example.com.

MRHS Shakespeare Club is holding its annual charity book drive. Parents, students and faculty can donate books in good condition to boxes in students’ English classes, the media center, and the front office until Friday, April 8th.
CLASS OF 2018 - FUNDRAISER AT GLORY DAYS (ELLICOTT CITY)
Attention MRHS! Do you like good food and having a good time with your friends? Then we have an event for you! The Class of 2018 is sponsoring a fundraiser at Glory Days Grille on Route 40 in Ellicott City during the month of April! Our first night will be this Friday, April 8th. Come hang out, have fun and fill your bellies before or after the MRHS sporting games! Please keep your receipts and turn them in to the box in the MEDIA CENTER or FRONT OFFICE, or give them to any Class of 2018 officer at Glory Days on Friday. A portion of the sales from each customer who submits a receipt will be saved for next year’s prom, and other class events! This fundraiser lasts throughout the month of April, so in addition to our specific nights, bring in your receipt from any night you eat at Glory Days! See you there!!!
