HCPSS Student Representation

Are you or someone you know a student at MRHS who is passionate about student leadership? As MRHS Mustangs, you  have strong opinions, valued voices, and we  know you can make a difference.

This year, HCPSS is thrilled to introduce the first ever Student Member Convention to select two candidates to run for Student Member of the Board (SMOB). The SMOB serves alongside adult members of the Board of Education and advocates for student voice--your voice!

This school year, student delegates from each middle and high school will attend a convention at Wilde Lake High School on February 21, 2018 to select two candidates whom they feel will best amplify the student voice in our Howard County schools and who will run for the Student Member of the Board.  That delegate could be you!

To be considered for selection, please express your intent in writing to Mrs. Goldeisen and request two teacher evaluations to be submitted to the principal by November 30, 2017. No formal application packet is required beyond the statement of intent to the principal and two teacher recommendations.  Submission deadline is November 30.
