Fall Sports season begins on August 9, 2017 and includes Allied Soccer, Cheer, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, and Volleyball. Information that will be helpful to parents/guardians and students as you prepare for the upcoming fall sports season can be found by clicking here. This information includes required paperwork, Varsity head coach names and emails, practice start dates/times, and Concussion Testing dates.

to be College & Career Ready
Tuesday, June 6 from 6-8:30 p.m.
MRHS Student Services will be hosting a mini-College and Career Fair which will be held 6:00 – 6:45 pm in The Commons. Representatives from Stevenson University, Howard Community College, UMBC, Paul Mitchell, Shippensburg, TranZed Apprenticeship Services, U.S. Marine Corps, and Chatham University will be available.
Workshops will be 30 minutes long, beginning at 7:00 pm, offering three different session rotations. Topics include: Junior Parent Information, College and Career Exploration: Naviance, The Community College Experience, Writing Effective College Essays, Navigating a Successful Admissions Process, SAT/ACT-Breaking Down the Differences, TranZed Apprenticeship Opportunities, Financial Aid (FAFSA), and the University of Maryland Army ROTC.
All students must take their final exams. It is HCPSS policy to not give exams before the assigned date.
Exam dates will be:
June 9 – Period 1
June 12 – Periods 2 and 3
June 13 – Periods 4A and 4B
June 14 – Periods 5 and 6

End of Year Medication Information
This is a reminder from the Health Room that all medications and supplies must be picked up by a parent or guardian before Wednesday, June 14 at 12:30 p.m. Any medication not picked up will be disposed of according to HCPSS policy.
2017-2018 Medication Forms Information:
Medication forms for the 2017-2018 school year will be sent home soon or can be picked up from the Health Room. Please have all medication forms completed, dated, and signed by the physician after July 01, 2017. All over the counter medications must arrive in a new, unopened container with a medication form completed by the physician.
Summer School Students:
If your student is attending summer school and currently has medications, you may pick them up from the Health Room, bring them to the summer school location.
Free Immunization Clinics will be offered through the HoCo Health Department on 6/28, 7/5, and 7/12 from 9am-3pm on a walk-in basis in the Severn Room at 8930 Stanford Blvd., Columbia. You will receive documentation to share with your child’s doctor and school. Click here for more information.

Parents are required to notify the school if they have moved, even if the move is within the Marriotts Ridge school district. Final report cards are mailed home marked “Return Service Requested” indicated the USPS will not forward to another address. If you are moving out of state or to another county, the new school will need copies of your student records.
A change of address form is required along with the following residency documents: Deed/Settlement or Lease AND a Utility Bill for the new address. Please contact Ms. Deison in Student Services at 410-313-5446 with any address change or questions.
