CONCESSIONS for Spring Sports  The concession stand needs volunteers to keep it running. Please use the link below to volunteer a little of your time to support our students.  Boosters Club uses proceeds to benefit ALL students in clubs, sports, music, dance, etc.  MRHS students may sign-up for service hours!

SUMMER CAMPS Boosters-sponsored summer camps with by MRHS Athletic Coaches and Fine Arts Teachers take place each summer.  We offer a complete selection of Sports and Music/Fine Arts Camps to choose from for students in 1st-12th grades.    NEW THIS YEAR . . . PTSA

PTSA Senior Scholarship application deadline has been extended until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 to allow seniors that are members of the MRHS PTSA some extra time during Spring Break to complete their application.   All applications MUST be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m. on April 18th.  There will be no further extensions or exceptions.  The application is available on the PTSA website at http://www.marriottsridgeptsa.org/

HC DrugFree Annual Senior Week: Staying Safe in Ocean City presentation on March 22 / 7pm at Atholton High School  Read more . . .

 

Bright Minds Foundation’s 3rd Annual Strutting with the Staff  dance competition will be held March 22 from 7-9pm at the Jim Rouse Theater.  This annual event benefits the Bright Minds Foundation and the students of HCPSS.  Bright Minds Foundation has provided 1, 035 computers to students and awarded $118,000 in teacher grants!  Read more . . .

 

Mu Alpha Theta Math Tournament to be held March 25th, 2017 from 8:30am - 2pm at Centennial High School. Students may compete in six categories: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalc, Calc AB, Calc BC. The top 5 students in each category will be recognized and even receive money! This is a great opportunity for students to be rewarded for all the hard work they have done so far. HoCo Hacks Hackathon  If you are interested in computer science, come to the 3rd Annual HoCo Hacks Hathathon!  High school students from around the county will gain programming experience by spending the day coding a project that fits the theme presented at the event.  The Hackathon includes a presentation by guest speak Dr. Singh, Associate Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University.  Students may work in groups of up to three members and food will be provided.  The Hackathon will be held at Centennial High School on April 22 from 10a.m. – 6p.m.  For more information and to sign up for a spot, visit the HoCo Hacks 2017 website at thehocohacks.weebly.com

 

Service Learning Hours Opportunity  The HoCo Office on Aging and Independence seeks student volunteers to assist with their annual WomenFest event which will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood. Service hours will be approved upon completion of shift services. 

WomenFest is a FUN and INTERACTIVE event that entails engaging seminars, health screenings, vendors/exhibitors, cooking and fitness demos, etc.  We are looking for students to help assist with this annual event.  If you are interested in helping and earning service hours, please visit the website at www.hocovolunteer.org
