MRHS 2017 AfterProm Ticket Sales
All Juniors & Seniors are invited to come “Glow in the Dark” at our MRHS 2017 AfterProm event!
AfterProm will be held following Prom, from 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 to 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center at Glenwood on Route 97 in Cooksville.
Don’t miss out on the great food, prizes, and awesome activities including Family Feud game show, pig races, carnival games and much more!
Tickets for AfterProm, as well as one way bus transportation from M&T Bank Stadium to Glenwood Community Center, will go on sale Tuesday, April 18 through Friday, April 21 during all lunch shifts. Look for our ticket sale table in the Commons!
After Prom tickets are $10 each. You must have a completed & signed waiver form (form is also found on MRHS PTSA website) for all attendees, including prom guests, in order to purchase tickets. Bus tickets are $10 each. Checks should be made payable to MRHS PTSA.
Juniors & Seniors do not need to attend Prom to come to our After Prom event!

PTSA Senior Scholarship application deadline has been extended until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 to allow seniors that are members of the MRHS PTSA some extra time during Spring Break to complete their application. All applications MUST be submitted no later than 2:30 p.m. on April 18th. There will be no further extensions or exceptions. The application is available on the PTSA website at http://www.marriottsridgeptsa.

Jazz at the Ridge – April 5, 2017
Marriotts Ridge High School Music Program will present their annual Jazz at the Ridge concert to be held in the school auditorium on April 5 at 7:00 p.m. This year’s performances will include the award winning Marriotts Ridge Big Band, the Mount View Middle School Jazz Band, and our featured artists Howard County’s Most Wanted! This group features seven nationally known artists that all have connections to Howard County as school alumni, former teachers, private instructors, or clinicians who work with jazz students all over Howard County. Our artists include Todd Butler, Barry Enzman, Matthew Everhart, Damon Foreman, Jim McFalls, Brian Simms, and Christian Stengle.
Each of these musicians have incredible careers of their own and have put this group together for this one special performance that is not to be missed!
Tickets are $10 in advance and can be ordered by sending an email to email@example.com Please sure to include the number of tickets requested and your contact information in the email. Tickets will be available at will-call on the evening of the show. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12.

CONCESSIONS for Spring Sports The concession stand is staffed for all Boys and Girls Lacrosse home games, plus one home Track & Field Meet. Volunteers are needed to keep it running. Please use the link below to volunteer a little of your time to support our students. Boosters Club uses proceeds to benefit ALL students in clubs, sports, music, dance, etc. MRHS students may sign-up for service hours!

RISE (Research In Science and Engineering) Centennial High School is hosting a science conference called RISE. This conference is held in conjunction with the I/M program and sponsored by Science National Honor Society. It aims to educate and inspire young STEM-driven minds. HoCo Hacks Hackathon If you are interested in computer science, come to the 3rd Annual HoCo Hacks Hathathon! High school students from around the county will gain programming experience by spending the day coding a project that fits the theme presented at the event. The Hackathon includes a presentation by guest speak Dr. Singh, Associate Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University. Students may work in groups of up to three members and food will be provided. Service Learning Hours Opportunity The HoCo Office on Aging and Independence seeks student volunteers to assist with their annual WomenFest event which will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood. Service hours will be approved upon completion of shift services.
WomenFest is a FUN and INTERACTIVE event that entails engaging seminars, health screenings, vendors/exhibitors, cooking and fitness demos, etc. We are looking for students to help assist with this annual event. Youth Police Academy The HoCo Police Department is hosting a free one-week, overnight, Youth Police Academy (YPA). This is an excellent opportunity for youth interested in law enforcement to explore what a challenging and rewarding career in law enforcement can be! Many of our retired and current officers have sent their children through the YPA and really enjoyed the experience. It is open to youth ages 15 – 18 with a GPA of 2.0. The Dale Carnegie Young Adult Leadership Program (Y.A.L.P) is designed to differentiate students for their futures. This is the world famous Dale Carnegie Course customized for teenagers.

This upcoming Y.A.L.P is open to teenagers 14-19 years old. There are four program sessions: June 22nd & 27th, July 11th & 14th. Each session runs from 9am-5pm and are held at Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood, MD. The program is eligible for college credit and it looks great on college applications and resumes.
